Comprehensive Inpatient Obstetrics provides an all-inclusive approach to coding inpatient obstetrical cases from initial pregnancy through the puerperium.  Comprised of three courses:  ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS plus a real-world practice module, Coding Workspace™; the program teaches the coder how to evaluate the documentation and locate any obstetrical code.

ICD-10-CM: Obstetrical Diagnoses Coding explains the clinical details of common complications of pregnancy, abortion, delivery, and the puerperium.

ICD-10-PCS: Obstetrical Procedure Coding covers the steps necessary to fully code inpatient procedures during pregnancy, abortion, or delivery.  With examples from the Obstetrical and other sections of ICD-10-PCS.

Practical Coding Experience: Inpatient Obstetrics provides hands-on coding practice coupled with detailed guidance on correct code assignment. Using Libman Education’s proprietary Coding Workspace™ format, learners sharpen their coding skills interpreting real-world documentation from procedures varying in complexity from basic to advanced.

The level of effort required to complete this course bundle is 6 CEUs and typically takes approximately 6-18 clock hours to complete.

You will have access to the course materials for the full 24-week enrollment period, and we encourage you to revisit the lessons, coding cases, and resources as often as needed to reinforce learning and strengthen your skills.

Certificate of Completion
Upon successful completion of the course work, learner will download a Libman Education Certificate of Completion which may be used to support a CEU submission. The Libman Education Certificate of Completion includes:
• Course title
• CEU value
• Completion date
• Applicable HIIM domain(s)

myAHIMA CEU Portal
After expiration of the prior approval CEU, the course may still qualify for self-reported CEU submission through the myAHIMA CEU Portal. Final CEU approval is determined by AHIMA.
