Please note: This is not a basic course and learners are expected to already be familiar with the principals of E/M coding. E/M: Emergency Department ProFee Services provides hands-on coding practice coupled with detailed guidance on correct code assignment. Each of the ten cases was carefully selected to challenge the learner with cases varying in medical decision making complexity. Cases include:
- Cardiac emergency
- Blunt force trauma evaluation
- Respiratory emergencies including
- Tachypnea in a newborn
- Postprocedural complications
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease exacerbation
- Genitourinary emergencies including
- Urinary tract infection
- Suprapubic catheter dysfunction
- Abdominal pain work-up
- Advanced dental disease
- Gastrointestinal disease in a liver transplant patient
- Migraine
The level of effort to complete this course, start to finish, is equivalent to 1 CEU and should take you approximately 1-3 hours to complete. Certificate of Completion
Upon successful completion of the course work, student will be able to download a Libman Education Certificate of Completion. The Certificate of Completion will list the course as awarding 1 CEU.
