A first step to a career in Clinical Documentation Improvement

BEDFORD, MASSACHUSETTSFebruary 6, 2019 – Libman Education has announced that CDI Essential Skills, an online certificate program where students learn foundational CDI education, has been fully updated for 2019. The program is developed by ACDIS, the premier provider of education for Clinical Documentation Improvement Professionals, and is a first step to a career in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI).

“We are excited about this opportunity to expand our relationship with professionals exploring the CDI domains of knowledge,” says Susan Pepple, VP and COO at Libman Education. “Coding and CDI, both critically important to the success of our healthcare institutions, will continue to evolve in response to changes in technology, reimbursement, and workforce requirements. Many of coding colleagues have indicated a growing interest in CDI and we are pleased to partner with ACDIS to offer a CDI pathway that is consistent with the Libman Education standard of excellence.”

Those who successfully complete the CDI Essential Skills Program become an ACDIS-Approved CDI Apprentice. The online training has been designed as a pathway to future Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) designation.

    Good Morning,
My name is Cenith Byrd and I am interested in this ACDIS program. I don’t see a price on this training and once you finish the training can you get hired as a apprentice?

Cenith – Thank you for your note. Nice to hear from you!

Detailed information on the CDI Essential Skills program, including price, is available here: https://libmaneducation.com/product/cdi-essential-skills/

Getting an entry level job is always difficult. Having completed this program will give you an advantage over other applicants. You may wish to be in contact with potential employers and ask how they would consider your training and other job experience if they were to have an opening.

Good luck! We look forward to working with you.
