Experience and knowledge of Inpatient Coding
Three years of inpatient acute care coding experience within the last five years.

Students may wish to refresh their knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10PCS coding prior to attempting the course. (additional fee applies)

Certification
Current RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC credential

  • Students are required to complete the entire course, including all workbooks, unit tests, module exams, specialty books, and practicum reports (as appropriate) within the enrollment period or within the period for which extensions have been paid.
  • Students are required to achieve 85% or better on all module and course exams in order to be eligible to participate in the practicum module. Completion of all components of the practicum at a score of 85% or higher is required for successful completion of the program.
  • Students are allowed two submissions of each module and course exam. Retakes may be taken after a required five business day preparation period following notification of prior exam results.
