Twenty-week enrollment helps keep course from disrupting workflow

BEDFORD, MASSACHUSETTS March 21, 2013– Exeter Hospital, which recently became a designated Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and according to New Hampshire Magazine has some of the top physicians in the state of New Hampshire, is now offering Libman Education Inc.’s virtual ICD-10 readiness course, Anatomy & Physiology for Coders.

Twenty-nine members comprising Exeter Hospital and Core Physicians’ coding department have enrolled in the course.  Staggered enrollment began in December 2012 and will continue well into 2013. The course includes a special twenty-week enrollment period to provide training flexibility to the medical coding staff.

“Libman Education was able to offer us an extended enrollment period, which is a tremendous help and allows us to stay current with our workflow and to prepare for the ICD-10 transition simultaneously,” said Ann D’Arcy-James, director of Exeter’s Health Information Management department.

Exeter Hospital’s mission is to improve the health of the communities it serves.  The hospital offers comprehensive health care services including oncology, orthopedics, breast health, radiology, birthing and reproductive medicine, cardiovascular, occupational and employee health.

In 2011, U.S. News and World Report named eleven Exeter Hospital medical staff members to its list of top doctors.

Libman Education’s Anatomy & Physiology for Coders is geared to provide healthcare professionals with the content, flexibility, and quality instruction needed to prepare successfully for the looming ICD-10 transition. The course spares organizations the costs of renting facilities, hiring teachers, and preparing course curriculums in order to train staff. Online flexibility makes the course adaptable to departments with time constraints.

Additionally, the course provides coding professionals with immediate knowledge that can apply to current ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding.
